Conn 88-H Trombone - EC - Classic 70's Model in Kissimmee, FL

$1,500 Conn 88-H Trombone - EC - Classic 70's Model

Conn 88-H Trombone - EC - Classic Model This is a 1970's vintage Conn 88-H trombone and I am the original owner. It was manufactured in 1974 and I purchased it new and played it until about 1982, when it was stored away carefully. It has barely been played since. It is in excellent shape, with only a few very minor dings and the normal wear from touching it that any normal instrument would have, such as where the hand touches the brass. It has a beautiful red brass bell and a gorgeous tone that modern horns can't match. It also has a C attachment. This is a professional level horn, and in fact the same model is played in professional orchestras all over the world, and it is this era that is most desirable. Back in the day, I took lessons from a trombonist in The Cleveland Orchestra, and he played this exact model. It comes with the original hard shell case, and two mouthpieces - the original and a Bach 5G. It also has the original music lyre for marching band music. I am also including two straight mutes - one standard red/white fiberboard and a metal Tom Crowne. The Crowne is pretty beat up but it still sounds great. Often old horns need to have the inner slide re-plated, dents hammered out, or the slide re-aligned, but this is a terrific vintage trombone in excellent shape and it will require no new maintenance to get it playing. Buy it today and you can literally be playing it on tonight's gig. $1500 and it's yours. These instruments from this era can easily fetch $2000 or more. If you are interested, don't hesitate, this one won't last long.
